The Reason Jesus Christ was Born

It's always an amazing time when Christmas Day falls on the Sabbath, where Christians worship and celebrate the true reason for the season...the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This morning we take our reading from I John 3:1-11 and also 4:8-14. In these passages we find 5 reasons that Jesus Christ was born:

1.) 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Jesus Christ came to be the bearer of our sins.

2.) 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil.

3.) 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Jesus Christ came to give us eternal life.

4. ) 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Jesus Christ came to be the sacrifice for our sins.

5.) 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Jesus Christ came to be the Saviour of the World!!!
